When I look back at my year as a whole, I
tend to think of 2017 as a really bad time. Part of this is because I was
struggling with depression for quite a large portion of it and so even when I
was doing fun things, I still had this big black cloud looming over me.

5 things I'm already looking forward to in 2018
In some ways it’s hard to believe 2017 is nearly over and in other ways 2017 feels like it has dragged out for much longer than 12 months. Remember this time last year when everyone couldn’t wait for 2017 to come around so we could leave the horror that 2016 was behind us? “What could be worse than all the

Festive London photo diary

As you can probably guess from the title of this post, I spent the last weekend in London having a jolly old Christmas time. I haven’t really been feeling the festive season this year because as I mentioned in my post about my new job, I’ve been working a lot so I haven't had much time to sit back and listen to

Vegan Comfort Food at The Ship Inn, Ouseburn
The number one thing I find the
hardest about eating plant based is finding varied places to go to eat out. After all, a girl can only eat so many veggie burgers. I mentioned in my review of Grumpy Panda that while more and more
franchises are adopting vegan options on their menus, independent restaurants often still have the edge.

Call Me By Your Name and my first solo cinema trip
None of these time markers will
be accurate for the time you are reading this post but I promise they were at the time of writing. Earlier this evening, I went to the cinema by
myself for the very first time, to see the 5:35pm screening of Call Me By Your
Name at the beautiful Tyneside Cinema in Newcastle.

Halloween decorations on a budget
It’s officially October which means it’s officially nearly
Halloween! Halloween is probably my favourite time of the year. Of course I
love Christmas but there’s something about Halloween that’s so much fun and I
feel like it’s so underappreciated by a lot of people considering how quickly
it comes and goes.

Have I mentioned how much I love cats? ft Catpawcino in Newcastle
I actually had a completely different post planned this week all about autumn and I had it all written out and ready and then… I forgot to take the photos. So the seasonal content I mentioned in my Blogging Goals post will have to wait until next week…

10 books to curl up with on a rainy day
Self care should always be a priority but now that the nights are getting darker quicker and we're most definitely moving into jumper weather, keeping up with a self care routine is more important than ever.
One of the things I like doing the most to relax is reading and at the moment I'm not dedicating enough

Blogging goals for the rest of 2017
This is my 10th blog
post! Part of me really cannot believe I actually made it to ten. It’s only two
and a half months of posting and while that might not seem like a lot to some
people, my brain has been so scattered this year that I am honestly just impressed
that I managed to gather enough attention to keep

Maintaining a positive online space
Last weekend I went to London to attend a pool party one of my friends from university was hosting so we could all meet up and catch up after not seeing each other for ages. Not to get soppy, but it was probably the happiest I’ve been since turning 22. It was so nice seeing people that I don’t get to see very

5 vegan food spots in London
I've been in London a few times over the last few months visiting friends and one of the things I look forward to the most on each visit is the food. There are so many places offering vegan food in London and every time I'm there I'm spoilt for choice.
